We Were on a Break!

Hey Y’all! I’m back!

I took a break from blogging. There were many and varied reasons for this break and many of those reasons are still present and active today. BUT I missed you all. I missed sharing my silly stories, my God stories, and hearing your stories.

Where’d ya go, Bernadette?

Real talk? My kids decided to have kids… lots of kids! We went from 1 grandchild to 8 over the past six years. So much fun! My sweet Granny that you have read about went to see Jesus last year and my mom is having trouble recovering from two knee surgeries. This is just the tip of the iceberg and we are not going to unpack all of the last few years right now. But stay tuned…

What’s New, Scooby Doo?

I’m writing! I’m super excited about my new project. In this study, you will dig into biblical examples and real-life stories of hospitality that all lead to changed lives. The book also includes practical ways to invite friends, family, and strangers to your home; easy recipes for a crowd or small group; simple tips to make guests feel welcome without breaking the bank; and fun weekly challenges to encourage us to share Christ with the world.

What’s Next?

2 Timothy 1:6 “This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you”

This is Paul to Timothy saying don’t forget what God has called you to do and fan those flames. I have spent too much time fanning the flames of everything but what God has called me to do. Necessary things. Important things. BUT I spent spare time focused on foolish things instead of focused time on writing, speaking, and pouring into other women. For the past year, I have been fanning those flames. Seeking God’s direction. He has recently opened some doors and I am walking through. Mostly, I can’t wait to share this part of my journey with you!

Much Love!

  1. First of all, LOVE the name of this blog. The Friends reference made me LOL. I have also spent too much time fanning the flames of so many unecessary or unimportant things. It’s very hard for me to prioritize sometimes. Thank you for reminding me to fan the flames of the things that really matter!
